Abstract

In this interactive workshop, participants (PIs, research supervisors, program directors) will be briefly introduced to some of the most important findings from the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM)'s consensus study on the Science of Mentorship in STEMM. After an initial presentation, participants will experience two modules from the Entering Mentoring training approach used to optimize mentoring relationships. This interactive format will provide the opportunity for participants to talk with each other about shared opportunities, challenges and questions related to fostering inclusive mentoring relationships.
