Michael Wittmann
APS Bridge Program Director
American Physical Society

As American Physical Society  (APS) Head of Education and new APS Bridge project director, I plan to bring in aspects of my other work at APS. I am project director for APS Effective Practices for Physics Programs (EP3) Initiative, with a major outcome being the publication of the EP3 Guide (ep3guide.org) which provides practices and strategies to help programs, faculty, and students succeed. I am also project director of the APS Physics Teacher Education Coalition (PhysTEC), where we are working to build networks of institutions to support students across multiple institutions, especially to support students who gain their teacher credentials after they've graduated.
