Dr. Erika Brown (she/her) is a Program Lead at the American Physical Society (APS), partnering with faculty, students and other physics professionals to advance diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within the physical science community. In her current role, Dr. Brown serves as the Alliance Director for the IGEN Alliance and Program Director for the APS Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (APS-IDEA). Dr. Brown is a proud alumna of the all-women's HBCU, Spelman College, and earned her M.S and Ph.D. in Psychology, from Brown University

The American Physical Society (APS) is a founding society partner of IGEN. Since 2012, its APS Bridge Program partners have helped to close the gap in participation of Black, Latinx and Indigenous participation in physics graduate studies.
