Dr. Erika Brown (she/her) is an Education and Diversity Program Manager at the American Physical Society. At APS, Dr. Brown has managed a portfolio of diversity-focused programs, including the APS Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (APS-IDEA), the APS Bridge Program (APS-BP), the Inclusive Graduate Education Network, the National Mentoring Community (NMC) and the APS Forum on Diversity and Inclusion. She has experience working with underrepresented students and their faculty mentors through APS BP, IGEN and the NMC and possesses a deep cultural knowledge of minority serving institutions. Dr. Brown is a proud alumna of the all-women's HBCU, Spelman College, and earned her MS and PhD in Psychology from Brown University, in Providence, RI. In her spare time, she loves to cook delicious food for her friends and family.
