A Crucial Conversation: Talking with your mentees about their future

Across the scientific disciplines, there is increased interest in the career outcomes of our STEM graduate students. What career paths are our PhD students interested in? What career paths do they eventually pursue? And most importantly for this session, how can their advisors and mentors help them achieve success in their research programs while pursuing desired post-training careers? In this discussion-oriented session, faculty mentors and science professionals will consider best practices for talking about short and long-term career goals with their mentees.
