Anne Kornahrens supports the IGEN Alliance from the American Physical Society (APS) where she works primarily on the NSF-funded STEP UP project. STEP UP works with high school physics teachers to inspire the next generation of women in physics. Anne joined APS after a fellowship at the National Science Foundation in the Office of the Assistant Director for the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences. Anne has a PhD in organic chemistry (jointly from the Scripps Research Institute and the University of Oxford) and loves rock climbing and reading.

The NSF INCLUDES Alliance: IGEN (Inclusive Graduate Education Network) is a partnership of societies, institutions, organizations, corporations, and national laboratories poised to lead a paradigm shift in increasing the participation of Black, Latinx, and Indiginous  students who enter graduate or doctoral level programs in the physical sciences.
